In the last month, Jenn Kikel-Lynn and the Give Back Brokerage have happily added four new charities to their list of community partners. We wanted to take this opportunity to announce the new members and highlight their organization. You can find the charities listed below as well as an overview of becoming a community partner if you are interested in doing so.
Focusing on the lives of children within the state of Utah, the Utah Kids Foundation provides support to families with medical needs. They conserve medical supplies in Utah and assist families with disabilities with obtaining medical supplies and/or equipment at little to no cost. They also have the largest online support network for special needs in the state!
Thanksgiving Heroes is a wonderful organization that strives to prevent families from going without a Thanksgiving meal. Statistics have shown that 355,550 people in Utah face hunger, and of them 113,700 are children. You can help by donating money towards providing the meals, or by volunteering to distribute food. Thanksgiving Heroes currently operates in Dallas, Cleveland, Salt Lake City, and Las Vegas.
Located in Salt Lake City, Clever Octopus is Utah’s one and only creative reuse center! This organization is dedicated to fostering creativity and environmental awareness through art, science, technology, engineering, and math. In addition to their regularly scheduled workshops, they offer a store with discounted art supplies that is called Creative Reuse Center.
Similar to the Utah Kids Foundation, 4 Gold Service and Rescue works to take care of people with medical needs. Their organization works to help those with special needs to have independence, peace of mind, and companionship. Trained service dogs can cost thousands of dollars, and 4 Gold Serivce and Rescue works hard to provide scholarships for families in need of training for their medical alert dog.
