Second Chance for Homeless Pets
Events are being closely monitored due to the increase in Covid-19 cases. Adoptions and meet & greets are by appointment only. You can visit Second Chance for Homeless Pets at the Petsmart Sandy Cat Adoption events that are taking place all year long. The address for the Petsmart where the events are being held is 10329 S State Street Sandy, UT 84070.
The Inn Between
The Inn Between does not currently have any events scheduled. Volunteers are being requested for companionship, activities, meal preparation, housekeeping, organizing, food and clothing, events, marketing, and more. You can apply to volunteer using the form available on their website.
Humane Society of Utah
You can easily apply to host an event that benefits the animals at the Humane Society of Utah on their website. Be mindful that the adoption center is closed on Easter, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
American Cancer Society
Gear up to join the American Cancer Society on October 22, 2022 for a breast cancer support walk in Salt Lake City. From large-scale traditional walks to unique local experiences and celebrations, the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer has united communities, companies, and individuals across the country.
Rape Recovery Center
February 2022 is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. April 2022 will mark the 21st anniversary of sexual assault awareness month. Check back to their site often for upcoming events.
Flourish Bakery
The Kinsey Sicks will be appearing at The Salt Lake Masonic Temple on Friday May 13, 2022. All Proceeds Benefit Flourish Bakery Friday, May 13, 2022 7-9 p.m. It’s the hottest ticket in town in a theatre few get to see. Be warned though, the show will be performed with a handbag full of fun with a touch of bawdy humor. The Kinsey Sicks are so much more than a cabaret act, the Masonic Temple is more than a theatre, and Flourish is more than a Bakery.

Driving Out Hunger Golf Tournament

Step up to the tee to fill a plate at this exciting scramble-format golf tournament that features prizes, lunch and a great day of swinging clubs at one of Utah’s most beautiful golf courses. Funds raised directly support our programs, operations, outreach and education efforts. Participate as a two or four-player team, sponsor a hole, or opt for a mulligan—it all goes to Utahns in need.

We can’t wait to see all your happy faces for our 17th annual Utah Human Race, and look forward to seeing many of you in some fun costumes! There is something special about coming together to Run with an Attitude of Gratitude on Thanksgiving morning! As always, this family-friendly 5K/10K fun run is open to ages and abilities of all levels, and all proceeds will directly help feed Utahns facing hunger! More details to come.
Cast for Kids Utah
The next Cast for Kids Utah event will be on 06/25/2022 at the Strawberry Reservoir. This is a C.A.S.T. for Kids event designed to provide children with disabilities, ages 5 – 17, the opportunity to enjoy a quality outdoor recreational experience through the sport of fishing. Take to the water with C.A.S.T. for an unforgettable morning of fishing and boating!
Fairways for Warriors
Join Fairways for Warriors at the Arizona Chapter Inaugural Golf Tournament will be held on March 14th, 2022. TheTidewater Virginia Chapter’s 1st Annual Golf Tournament will be held on May 6th, 2022. Proceeds from all events go to help veterans in need.
Clever Octopus
Join them for their February Crafternoon as they partner with Bags to Beds (@bagstobeds on IG), a volunteer-led group based out of Salt Lake City. They will be crocheting sleeping mats from plarn, or yarn-like material made from plastic bags, for individuals experiencing homelessness. Event date and time: Feb 5, 2022, 1-3pm.
Women’s Global Empowerment Fund
The Women’s Global Empowerment Fund is regularly involved in missions across the world. Visit their website and follow them on social media to stay up to date on volunteer opportunities.
Tree Utah
Head out to Wasatch Mountain State Park on February 5th for Tree Utah’s Snowshoe 2022 event. The event will be held from 9:30 am -1:00 pm. There is a suggested donation of $10 for the tour, including the $2 fee to get into the park & you can rent snowshoes for $3. All abilities welcome!

Please be sure to take precautions when attending any volunteer events. Be sure to bring a mask, monitor your social distancing, and wash your hands regularly. Volunteers are absolutely still needed, so don’t shy away from lending a hand to any of these wonderful organizations.
