Junior League of Salt Lake City Partners with K Real Estate, The Give Back Brokerage, to help women in need. The Junior League of Salt Lake City’s mission is to help develop the potential of women and improve the community through effective action, education and leadership. Often the women who seek out assistance from JLSLC have just escaped dangerous situations and need help getting back on their feet.

Donation needs

Items the JLSLC may provide to women are feminine hygiene products such as tampons, pads, body washes, razors, soaps, shampoos, conditioners, clothing, and medicines for UTI’s or yeast infections. When leaving situations of domestic violence, these things are typically not thought of as grab-and-go necessities, so being provided basic amenities can make a big difference in the well-being of women.

Our first successful donation

On March 6th, Dawn Emery (a K Real Estate Agent) held a donation drive for JLSLC. Already a member of Junior League, Dawn Emery is extremely passionate about supporting the community. Needless to say, the drive was a huge success! People came by for most of the day to drop off underwear, deodorants, lotions, and so much more. To see the final outcome, view this LinkedIn photo. Every single item is going directly to a woman in need. When we uplift one, we uplift the community. The work that the Junior League does is so incredibly important for the lives of women, their families, and the community.

The Junior League holds many events, has open volunteer positions, and accepts donations year around. When you work with a K Real Estate Agent, you also have the opportunity to “Give Back.” Clients and agents can choose an organization to donate to, and the brokerage donates on their behalf. The donation never comes out of the client or agent’s pocket. Learn more about how that works on the Give Back Brokerage’s Website.
