I would describe myself as an Entrepreneur, a Philanthropist, an Optimist and also someone who is genuine 24/7.  I love helping others!

I owe all of these attributes to two special people- my parents, Frank and Marlene Kikel.  I was lucky to have Entrepreneur parents who worked hard at creating businesses and also raising my brother and I with ethics that have not only made us successful in business but also in wanting to help others in our communities.  When I was only 11, we lost our Dad after a battle with mental illness and suicide, as well as, our Mom after a long illness and ultimately medically induced suicide when I was 30 years old.  These loses have definitely shaped how I approach each day of my life but I’m grateful they taught me to work hard, help others, and always treat everyone with utmost respect from an early age.

When I first started my company in 2015, I always contributed donations to whomever was in need but never mentioned to my clients that I was doing this on their behalf.  It just felt natural to give throughout the year and it’s a part of who I am.  In late 2019, I decided to merge my real estate brokerage, K Real Estate with my passion of philanthropy with the new branding of “The Give Back Brokerage” to involve all agents affiliated with my brokerage the opportunity to have donations already calculated into the transaction and not out of their pocket.

By being able to help others succeed in their real estate goals and also add that extra layer of helping them give back to their community in the process is incredibly gratifying.

When you buy or sell with me personally, you’ll have the opportunity to pick a charity of your choice for one donation and I’ll also make a second donation in your name to The FMK Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit named after my parents for suicide awareness.
